Due to a few unforeseen and unplanned circumstances the MFCF will be postponing our Casino Night event. Both city and County have events very close to the date we had chosen, one on the following day. We also ran into the problem of tables being sponsored but very few players registered. One can’t have a tournament without players. We had a trigger point of 60 players by the 5th. We had over 40 spots reserved but not all of them were filled with bodies. This being our first event I wanted it to be as successful as possible.
The Charitable Foundation also needs to build its infrastructure. We are Building a web site and trying to improve the MFA’s web page to include a link to the MFCF’s web site. I think this is a good example of very good intentions but putting the cart before the horse.
I want to thank Aaron, Jordan and Chip for all your hard work and time taken away from your families. I would also like to thank all of our members for their support, especially those who volunteered, along with their family members, their time for the BBQ. I would also like to thank the BC’s from all three shifts for their support both for sponsoring a table and their advice and encouragement.
Sincerely,
Alex Broumand
